The ETF Store is a fee-based, registered investment advisor based in Kansas City, Missouri, that works primarily with exchange traded funds to implement disciplined, risk focused investment strategies.

Joseph Massman, Founder –  Massman founded The ETF Store in to provide innovative investment solutions to individuals looking for alternatives to the underperformance, commissions and high fees imbedded in the typical all-mutual fund portfolio.  Joe is a recognized expert on exchange traded funds, having spoken at industry conferences and appearing in national publications such as Barron’s, Institutional Investor, and Index Universe.  Massman is also the founder of ETFBuzz.com, a leading online source for news and commentary about ETFs, and The ETF Institute, the first industry association providing financial professionals with certification, education, and training pertaining to exchange-traded funds.

Joe earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Series 65 Securities license.

Thomas Telford, Chief Investment Officer – Tom was previously a portfolio manager with American Century Investments for twelve years.  He served as Manager and Co-Manager on a number of equity mutual funds during his time there, including the New Opportunity and Technology Fund.  Most recently Tom was the lead manager of the firm’s flagship Ultra Fund, for which he invested and managed approximately $10 billion in assets.  During his time at American Century, Tom consistently outperformed relevant peers and benchmarks, turned around struggling portfolios that he inherited, and developed a reputation for building investment teams and exceptional portfolio managers.

Tom earned an undergraduate degree in business and accounting from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.  He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
